The New York podiatrists at Adler Footcare would like to introduce Dr. Melvin B. Hurt, who joins the team at Adler Footcare bringing 25 years of experience as a podiatric surgeon with him.
Dr. Hurt has spent his entire professional career in Greater New York. He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in biology and pre-med, then from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Hurt has been board-certified by the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery (ABLES) in foot surgery since 2002, a rigorous certification that is renewed every five years.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Hurt was a medical/surgical director for nearly ten years in Jamaica, New York, has served in hospital settings, and been in private practice.
Dr. Hurt enjoys lecturing at health fairs and other venues on the advances in foot care that are available to patients.
Dr. Hurt also does surgical training for other podiatrists. His interests in advancing the treatment and understanding of foot problems makes Dr. Hurt well aligned with the mission of Adler Footcare to “passionately pursue the health and well-being of our patients by providing quality care in a safe, effective and efficient manner through our culture of exceptional service.”
How do we do this? By ensuring our podiatrists are board-certified, maintaining our Joint Commission Accreditation, and earning the trust and respect of patients, the profession and community.
If you have foot problems such as bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, arch pain, overpronation, or any other issues causing you pain, don’t wait to get treated because many of these conditions will only get worse.
At Adler Footcare we believe feet shouldn’t hurt and neither should their treatment. That’s why we offer the latest advancements in the field of podiatry such as:
- Minimally invasive foot surgery – and outpatient procedure performed by making a very small incision the size of a pinprick.
- HyProCure® – an outpatient procedure that places a small titanium stent into the naturally occurring space between the ankle bone and heel bone to stabilize the ankle and correct foot misalignment.
- Stem cell therapy – used in conjunction with other treatments to speed healing times, minimize pain, and reduce swelling and inflammation.
- Toenail fungus laser treatment – an outpatient procedure that zaps fungus by shining a laser light beam onto the nail, penetrating through the surface of the nail, and killing the pathogens that are causing the fungal infection.
On behalf of Adler Footcare, we welcome Dr. Hurt and invite you to contact us if you’re experiencing foot problems causing you pain. At Adler Footcare you’ll find the best podiatrists in New York. Contact us for a free 30-minute consultation today!
