It’s been a great year at Adler Footcare and we want to highlight a few things, just in case you missed them!
New Study Shows Positive Impact on Bunions
In January, Dr. Adler and Dr. Tievsky, together with Dr. Graham of GraMedica, presented a study at the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery Biannual International Seminar that indicated there is a 40 to 50% reduction in both the size and pain level of bunions for patients after receiving the HyProCure® procedure. It also showed that 30% of small bunions go away without any treatment once the patient has HyProCure®.
The HyProCure® procedure uses a minimally invasive technique to insert a small titanium stent into the naturally occurring space between the ankle bone and heel bone. This corrects foot misalignment caused by an excessive inward rotation of the ankle that puts extra pressure on the bunion and causes other foot problems and secondary problems throughout the body.
In April, Adler Footcare of Greater New York announced the opening of our newly expanded offices and Podiatric OR of Midtown Manhattan located in the same building as the previous office at 25 West 45th Street, but now just down a few floors in Suite 402. The new state-of-the-art offices are equipped with the latest in diagnostic equipment to aid in treating all of your foot care needs.
Dr. Adler Receives Distinguished Physician Award
In April at the 8th Annual Medical Conference hosted by The Graham International Implant Institute, Dr. Adler received the “Eclipse” Award for outstanding community awareness of the importance of aligned feet. Adler Footcare is classified as a Center of Excellence for HyProCure® implantation by the Graham International Implant Institute because of the safety, expertise and experience offered to patients.
